Is it open right now?
In 2008, ligoo.ch went online: a directory of opening hours for Switzerland, in French, German, Italian and English. Its whole job is to answer one question correctly, every day of the year.
That turned out to be harder than it sounds. Every canton has its own holidays, many shops close for lunch, terraces stay open later in summer, and hours change at the last minute. We built an engine that copes with all of it.
OpeningTimes puts that same engine in your hands: for your own website, your store finder and your app, with a web admin for your team.

The first directory of opening hours in Switzerland, in four languages. From the start, it showed holiday hours and which places are open right now.

SwissOps is founded
Incorporated in Renens, in the canton of Vaud, to carry ligoo.ch and the services started since 2008.

The first site outside Switzerland, for post office opening hours in the United Kingdom. More than twenty countries followed.

Two neighbours, two different days off
Geneva and Lausanne close for the Fast eleven days apart.
Geneva keeps the Jeûne genevois on a Thursday in September. The canton of Vaud closes on the Monday after the Federal Fast instead. Switzerland has 26 cantons.

How we work
One subject, done properly
We work on opening hours and the locations they belong to. Not a marketing suite with an hours field bolted on.
Exceptions are the rule
Lunch breaks, cantonal holidays, summer terraces, a closure for works: years of ligoo.ch taught us that the normal week is the easy part.
